Najmabad Rural District (Persian: دهستان نجم آباد) is in the Central District of Nazarabad County, Alborz province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Najmabad.[4]

At the census in 2006, the population was 8,880 in 2,178 households, when it was in Tankaman District of Nazarabad County, Tehran province.[5]

In August 2010, Karaj County, Nazarabad County, and Savojbolagh County were separated from the province in the establishment of Alborz province.[6]

At the most recent census of 2016, Najmabad Rural District had a population of 6,704 people in 1,983 households, by which time it had been transferred to the Central District.[3] The most populous of its 18 villages was Sheykh Hasan, with 899 people.[2]
