Monteprandone (Neapolitan: Munneprannù) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ascoli Piceno in the Italian region Marche, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) southeast of Ancona and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) northeast of Ascoli Piceno. It is the birthplace of James of the Marches.

Monteprandone borders the following municipalities: Acquaviva Picena, Colonnella, Controguerra, Martinsicuro, Monsampolo del Tronto, San Benedetto del Tronto. It is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy").[3]
