Mohammadabad Rural District (Persian: دهستان محمدآباد) is in the Central District of Hamun County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran.[3] It is administered from the city of Mohammadabad.[4]

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Shib Ab District of Zabol County) was 14,489 in 3,440 households.[5] There were 13,641 inhabitants in 3,608 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 13,526 in 3,944 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Hamun County.[3] The largest of its 80 villages was Firuzehi, with 1,340 people.[2]
