Metallomics is a monthly peer-reviewed scientific journal covering the growing research field of metallomics. The journal's scope is aimed at "elucidating the identification, distribution, dynamics, role and impact of metals and metalloids in biological systems".[2] It is published by the Royal Society of Chemistry. The executive editor is Jeanne Andres, while the current chair of the editorial board is David Giedroc at Indiana University Bloomington.

Transcription
Metallomics is a rapid growing area in the post genome era because the human genome demonstrates that 25 or 30% of the proteins are metalloproteins or metal-binding proteins. Also we know metals play a variety of roles in the biological process and are closely related to various diseases so we need an integrated approach to understand the roles of metals in biology. The journal Metallomics is really a very timely launch. Fortunately I am one of the founding editorial board members. We drive the journal too be one of the best in the area and provide a platform for colleagues all over the world to exchange opinions in the area.
