Maji (Bengali: মাজি or মাজী), also spelled as Majee, is a Bengali Hindu or as well as bengali Jain surname or family name. They originated from the Indian State of West Bengal and the Bengali Hindu may belong to Mahishya, Chasi Kaibartta, Jalia Kaibartta, and Ugra Kshatriya. And the Jains May belong to [[Sarak(caste) (Bengali: সরাক)]][1][2][3][better source needed] castes among Bengali Hindus. They are of Indian Origin.
