Mahmudabad Rural District (Persian: دهستان محمودآباد)[3] is in the Central District of Isfahan County, Isfahan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Mahmudabad.[4]

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 15,205 in 3,815 households.[5] There were 15,176 inhabitants in 4,186 households at the following census of 2011.[6] According to the most recent census documents of 2016, the population of the rural district was reported as zero. Fourteen villages were listed with no population.[2]
