Madres egoístas (Selfish mothers) was an Argentine-Mexican telenovela produced by Juan Osorio for Telefe and Televisa in 1991.[1]

Enrique Novi, Julieta Rosen and Orlando Carrió starred as protagonists, Chantal Andere starred as co-protagonist, while Alberto Mayagoitia and María del Sol starred as the main antagonists.

Plot

This was the story of Raquel Rivas Cantú, a young orphaned heir to a fortune who was raised by her love of Mariana keys, which for years haved hated secret because of a past and a life which she said was stolen by the Cantú Rivas. Raquel will marry Pablo, an honest widower with a daughter Carmen.

Eventually Raquel and Pablo haved another daughter, Mariana suspect Pablo was not the person who appears to be, available to Gaby's daughter from his marriage to Rachel in the care of a babysitter with the proviso that never was coming close to Mariana her last four years of happiness INMESA fate wants Pablo dies of heart attack leaving Raquel and Gaby alone and in the deepest sadness.

By always giving you bad advice Mariana, Raquel internal Gaby at a private school where a chance encounter with his daughter Carmen Pope both grow together without knowing that they are sisters. Mariana his son Felipe are together make life of Rivas Cantu is as black as your soul, but several characters that give a twist to this wonderful story of love, betrayal and revenge appear.
