The Lopez Center is a proposed building that will rise at a one-hectare area at JP Rizal, Rockwell Center, Makati.[1] It was launched in 2008 as a mixed-use building that has 50 floors. It would be the future headquarters of several companies owned by the Lopez family.[2] The tower is named after Manolo Lopez, the owner and developer of the Rockwell Center. It is expected to be the tallest building in the Philippines once completed.[3] It is designed after the new One World Trade Center in New York City. One of its earlier designs included a crown on top but it was later changed to a new and better design. It was supposed to begin construction in 2007 but was delayed. The office space is planned to be operational in 2011.

Construction began on the Lopez Tower and Museum on 26 April 2012. The 19 storey tower designed by Larry Oltmanns of Vx3 Architects.Strategists.Urban Designers[4] is scheduled to be completed by 2014 when it will house the offices of the Lopez Holding Companies and the Lopez Museum. The design of the tower is a part of four interlocking pillars representing the entrepreneurship, integrity, leadership and public service of the Lopez family. The Tower is being designed to achieve LEED Gold Certification.[5][6]

Hi. My name is Jose Lopez and I am an IT Support Specialist with the Enterprise Service Desk at the NASA Shared Services Center. For me personally, it's important to work in an environment that doesn't focus too much on what makes us different but instead focuses on what makes us the same. Here at the NSSC we focus on our common ground, the culture that we all create, and our responsibility is to the mission at hand. At the NSSC all employees have the ability to excel in their roles and advance in higher positions. I appreciate a working environment that a person's ability to be successful doesn't depend on what ethnicity that they are but instead their work ethic, their merit and the experience they bring to the team. Throughout my time here at the NSSC I have enjoyed the benefit of the wonderful culture that we have here. I could tell from day one that this was a different environment then I had experienced with previous jobs. The leadership here puts forth very special care to make sure that every single employee feels like they are part of something big. In my job at the Enterprise Service Desk, we are faced with new challenges every single day and being part of a team that has so much experience and such a wide variety of talents really enables us to be able to provide solutions to meets the needs of the customer. To me Hispanic Heritage means stayed focus on where it is you want to go without forgetting where you came from.
