Lola is an American gag-a-day comic strip by Todd Clark syndicated since 1999.[1] It is published daily and centers on the eponymous Lola Rayder,[3] an old widow who moved in with her son and his family[4] after the death of her husband, Crawford.[5]

  • Lola Rayder, the protagonist.
  • Ray Rayder, Lola's son with whom she lives.[4]
  • Amy Rayder, Ray's wife.[6]
  • Sammy Rayder, Ray's son. He has red hair and wears glasses.[7]
  • Etta, a black woman with whom Lola is friends.[8]
  • Cecil, a bearded friend of Lola's.[8]
  • Sally, a friend of Lola's.[9]
  • Harry, another friend of Lola's.[10]
  • Leeanne, a friend of Sammy's.[11]
  • Claudia, a neighbour of the Rayders.[12]
  • Rhiannon, a child who lives in the same neighbourhood as the Rayders.[13]
  • Pastor John, Local Pastor from Lola's church (Lola goes to church?)
