National Places of Scenic Beauty
As of 28 February 2024, fifteen Places have been designated at a national level (including one *Special Place of Scenic Beauty).[2][3][4]
Prefectural Places of Scenic Beauty
As of 1 May 2023, nine Places have been designated at a prefectural level.[4][6]
Municipal Places of Scenic Beauty
As of 1 May 2023, a further twenty Places have been designated at a municipal level.[4][7]
Registered Places of Scenic Beauty
As of 1 February 2024, Five Monuments have been registered (as opposed to designated) as Places of Scenic Beauty at a national level.[3][4][8]
