Geography

The village of Lescheraines is located in the northern part of the commune, above the left bank of the Chéran, which forms the commune's northeastern border.

Climate

Lescheraines has a oceanic climate (Köppen climate classification Cfb) closely bordering on a humid continental climate (Dfb). The average annual temperature in Lescheraines is 9.3 °C (48.7 °F). The average annual rainfall is 1,363.4 mm (53.68 in) with December as the wettest month. The temperatures are highest on average in July, at around 18.7 °C (65.7 °F), and lowest in January, at around 0.0 °C (32.0 °F). The highest temperature ever recorded in Lescheraines was 41.0 °C (105.8 °F) on 18 August 1943; the coldest temperature ever recorded was −27.0 °C (−16.6 °F) on 3 January 1971.
