Kangavar (Persian: كنگاور), also Romanized as Kangāvar and Kangūr,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Kolah Boz-e Sharqi Rural District of the Central District of Mianeh County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 383 in 78 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 310 people in 82 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 254 people in 78 households.[2]
