Juvigny Val d'Andaine (French pronunciation: [ʒyviɲivaldɑ̃dɛn]) is a commune in the department of Orne, northwestern France. The municipality was established on 1 January 2016 by merger of the former communes of La Baroche-sous-Lucé, Beaulandais, Juvigny-sous-Andaine (the seat), Loré, Lucé, Saint-Denis-de-Villenette and Sept-Forges.[3]

Geography

The commune is made up of the following collection of villages and hamlets, Lucé, Le Bois Jousselin, Le Jardin, La Baroche-sous-Lucé, Beaulandais, Saint-Denis-de-Villenette, La Vallée and Juvigny-Val-d'Andaine.[4]

It is 7,960 hectares (30.7 sq mi) in size. The highest point in the commune is 190 metres (620 ft).

The commune is within the Normandie-Maine Regional Natural Park.[5]

The commune has the river Mayenne traversing its borders.

The Commune has five buildings and areas listed as a Monument historique.[7]

  • Bonvouloir castle remains of a fifteenth centaury castle and estate that was registered as a monument in 1995.[8]
  • Etrigé Chapel a twelfth centaury chapel, registered as a Monument historique in 1997.[9]
  • Mebzon Manor a fourteenth centaury Manor house, registered as a Monument historique in 1998.[10]
  • Saint-Aignan Church a sixteenth centaury church, registered as a Monument historique in 1928.[11]
  • Cross of the old cemetery a sixteenth centaury cross in Beaulandais, registered as a Monument historique in 1938.[12]
