Joe Pingue is an Italian-Canadian actor and film maker.

Early life

Pingue was born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario.[1] He attended Ridley College for both elementary and high school,[1][2] and studied theatre at York University.[1]

Career

Acting

Pingue has had a long career in character and supporting roles. Some of his film credits include Miss Sloane, Pompeii,[3] Antiviral,[4] The Boondock Saints,[1] Repo Men,[1] Blindness,[1] The Book of Eli,[1] Maps to the Stars[5] and Dream House.[6]

His television work includes appearances on Degrassi: The Next Generation,[1] Orphan Black,[7] Wild Card,[1] 24 Hour Rental,[8] Across the River to Motor City[9] and The Expanse.[10] He also is the voice of Tamago on the animated series The Very Good Adventures Of Yam Roll In Happy Kingdom and the voice of Entree in the cartoon Spliced[1]

Producing and writing

Pingue produced, wrote and appeared in the 2008 short film The Answer Key, which was nominated for a Genie Award.[1] He also directed, produced and wrote the short film Chili and Cheese: A Condimental Rift.[1]
