Jennifer Griffin (born 1969) is an American journalist who currently works as national security correspondent for Fox News.

Griffin initially reported for a newspaper in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she covered Nelson Mandela's release from imprisonment and other events in South Africa's transition away from apartheid. She covered Middle Eastern affairs for the Associated Press and National Public Radio before joining Fox News in 1999.

Griffin is the daughter of John W. Griffin, a partner in a Washington, D.C. law firm, and Carolyn J. Griffin, the producing director of Metrostage, a theater in Alexandria, Virginia. A 1992 graduate of Harvard University, Griffin has a bachelor's degree in comparative politics.[1]

In October 1994 Griffin married Greg Myre, a journalist who is NPR's digital editor for international news and has reported for the Associated Press and The New York Times.[2] Griffin and Myre have three children, Annalise Myre, Amelia Myre and Luke Myre.[3]

In 2009 Griffin was forced to leave the airwaves after she was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer.[4] Following successful treatment, she returned to work in 2010.[5]
