From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jean Gillibert (1925 – 31 October 2014) was a French psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, poet, translator, playwright and theatre director.[1]

Short biography

Gillibert graduated from the Paris conservatory in 1945.[2] In 1947, he attended a lecture by Antonin Artaud at the Théâtre du Vieux-Colombier in Paris, which had a decisive influence on his career, under the sign of the exploration of madness and theater. A part of his career was devoted to psychoanalysis.

Gillibert died on 31 October 2014 in his home in Bourg-la-Reine.[2][3]
