Jarwar (Balochi: جروار) is a sub-tribe from the Gazini branch of Marri Baloch.
In the initial decades of the 16th century, they started a systematic migration from the barren hilly area of Koh-e-Marri now Kahan to the plain lands of "Sivi" now Sibi, Naseerabad, Kohlu, Jacobabad, Shahdadkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Tando Allahyar in search of better life and to keep themselves safe from the ongoing feuds and bloody disputes among the various sub tribes of Marri.[1] Many Families of Jarwar still live in their native place near Kahan, but they are now mainly split into various groups and living in many areas of Balochistan, Sindh and South Punjab.[2]
