Jack Nelson is an American football offensive tackle for the Wisconsin Badgers.

Early life and high school

Nelson attended high school at Stoughton. Coming out of high school, Nelson was rated as a five-star recruit where he decided to commit to play college football for the Wisconsin Badgers.[1][2]

College career

During Nelson's first collegiate season in 2020, Nelson decided to use the season to redshirt and appeared in one game against Michigan.[3] During the 2021 season, Nelson started all 13 games for the Badgers at right guard.[4] For his performance on the 2021 season, Nelson was named a honorable mention all-Big Ten selection.[5] During the 2022 season, Nelson played in and started all 12 games at left tackle for Wisconsin.[6] In the 2023 season, Nelson started all 13 games for the Badgers at left tackle.[7]

Personal life

Nelson's father Todd played as an offensive tackle for the Wisconsin Badgers, and his younger brother Barrett is also an offensive tackle for Wisconsin.[8]
