Rotem L
Role loitering munition
National origin Israel
Manufacturer IAI
Status In service
Developed from Loitering Munition family

The IAI Rotem L or IAI Rotem - Light is a loitering munition developed by the Israel Aerospace Industries. The drone is a quadcopter that can loiter for 30–45 minutes with the maximum range of 10 km. It can carry 1 kg warhead that could be two fragmentation grenades.[1]

Rotem L can be operated by a single soldier. Unlike many other loitering drones, Rotem has the significant feature that it can be reused once aborts the mission, and safely lands in a safe location.[2]

IAI unveiled the Rotem Alpha in September 2023. It employs a 2.5 kg (5.5 lb) anti-tank warhead derived from the LAHAT, with a combined anti-tank/blast-fragmentation charge that penetrates 450 mm of armor or a pure anti-tank charge that penetrates 800 mm of armor. The Rotem Alpha is larger weighing 25 kg (55 lb) but is still man-portable, with an endurance of 60 minutes and an operating range of 40 km (25 mi).[3][4]
