Howmeh Rural District (Persian: دهستان حومه) is in the Central District of Shahrekord County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran.[3] It is administered from the city of Nafech,[4] transferred from the village of Chaleshtar.[5]

At the census of 2006, its population was 23,397 in 5,833 households.[6] There were 3,888 inhabitants in 1,133 households at the following census of 2011.[7] In the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 5,360 in 1,623 households. The most populous of its five villages was Harchegan, with 1,996 people.[2]
