Halo Records, also known as Halo UK Records, is an independent British record label, established in 2000.[1]

History

Halo Records was formed by persons formerly associated with Chrysalis Records and Virgin Records, among other industry associations.[1] The executive producer of the company is Michael Karl Maslen, a guitarist and songwriter with previous experience as a producer.[citation needed]

The company has primarily been engaged in the development of new artists and is generally focused on releasing singles and related videos.[2] The company has produced records by such artists as Jane Ledsom,[3] Craine,[4] Dream Capture,[5] Kelly Lee,[6] Kat Gang,[7] Navaro,[8] Kinch,[9] Luci Cahn,[10] Rietta Austin[11] Medicine Hat,[12] Tracey Brennecke[13] and Mike Harrison.[2][14][15]

The company is not associated with others using the same or a similar name, such as Halo Records (Canada), Halo Records (US) or Halo the Label (Australia).[16]

'Who can predict anything?' muses Harrison, who at the end of 2006 was talked into releasing an album of cover versions called Late Starter.
