Career
College
Van De Casteele played four years of college soccer at the University of Notre Dame between 2010 and 2014. He was elected captain his senior year and helped steer the Irish to the program's first ever national championship in his final collegiate season.[1]
Professional
On January 16, 2014, Van De Casteele was selected in the first round, 19th overall, in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft by Colorado Rapids.[2]
Van De Casteele made his debut in a 3–4 loss to LA Galaxy on August 20, 2014.[3]
In February 2016, Van De Casteele retired from professional soccer to pursue other professional interests.
