Eugene C. Filipski (June 14, 1931 – August 23, 1994) was an American football halfback who played two seasons with the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL) and four seasons with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL).

Filipski attended Grant Union High School in Sacramento, California. He first enrolled at the United States Military Academy before transferring to Villanova University where he was a First-team All-American in 1952. He was the MVP of the Senior Bowl Game in 1954.

He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the seventh round of the 1953 NFL Draft, but was traded to the New York Giants just prior to the start of the 1956 season. In the 1956 NFL Championship Game, Filipski returned the opening kickoff 54 yards, setting the tone for the Giants convincing 47-7 victory over the Chicago Bears.

He was released by the Giants in 1958 and signed with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League. He was a CFL West All Star in 1959. He retired after the 1961 season.[1]
