Gary Lucchesi (born January 4, 1955, in San Francisco, California) is an American film producer who is President of Lakeshore Entertainment and past President of The Producers Guild of America.[2]

we do we know we co phan answer our movies we weep resell the international rights and and that pays usually for seventy percent of the negative cost of a movie and uh... yeah at the you know the challenges is finding material and then once you find material you like that uh... the secondary challenge is what i call threading the needle and uh... uh... yet they're pretty good eyesight but that'll threat needles and the needles are our domestic distributor who has value internationally defeat and uh... a lot of times that comes down to casting you know it uh... you know i i didn't speak about it but uh... there are no number producers uh... obvi learner as an example he certainly knows how to thread the needle he'll do these movies with stallone he knows what he can make internationally he knows that they're always be a domestic distributor willing to make that movie and uh... that's that's the sort of uh... or the mass that producer must have in their brains as they move forward trying to make films will this is the classroom where they were the yeah medicines and enter like experience to anything you know the map always changes and that it's a little bit different each movie is different it's right if different personalities different characters in every movie different plots and you know that changes but it's in some ways it's constant
Career
Lucchesi began his career at The William Morris Agency as an agent, representing such artists as Susan Sarandon, Kevin Costner, Michelle Pfeiffer and John Malkovich. Lucchesi served as both Vice President and Senior Vice President of Production at TriStar Pictures before becoming President of Production at Paramount Pictures.[3] Following his time at Paramount, Lucchesi founded Gary Lucchesi Productions, where he produced the Oscar nominated film Primal Fear. Lucchesi was also President of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Film Co., producing the film version of the hit musical Cats. In 1997, he was asked by Tom Rosenberg to run Lakeshore.
Lucchesi graduated from Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory in San Francisco in 1973 before attending UCLA. He graduated with a degree in history in 1977.[4][5]
