Deutsch: Das dreigeteilte Wappen von Zotzenheim zeigt in der oberen Hälfte 2 Löwen, dabei handelt es sich um die Wappen der Rheingrafen und der Wildgrafen, die zeitweise die Ortsherrschaft in Zotzenheim ausübten, bis der Ort spätestens im 14. Jahrhundert an Sponheim kam, deren Schach im Schildfuß erscheint. Zwischen 1223 und 1230 erfolgte die Aufteilung der Grafschaft Sponheim in hintere und vordere Grafschaft mit Sitz auf der Kautzenburg.
