Description
Old coat of arms of the Republic of the Seven Zenden of Wallis (until 1798).

Based on the 1582 seal, the central star should be rotated so that two of its points are aligned vertically. The countercharged tincture may be anachronistic. Merian in 1642/54 depicts all stars with vertical orientation, still with no indication of countercharging.

Countercharging appears to be indicated in the 1698 map by Bodenehr.
