Summary

Description
A Challenger Armoured Repair and Recovery Vehicle, (CRARRV) is shown taking part in the Urgent Operational Requirement (UOR) Equipment Demonstration at Salisbury Plain.

The Challenger Armoured Repair and Recovery Vehicle (CRARRV) is a highly evolved armoured vehicle designed to recover and repair damaged tanks on the battlefield.

The vehicle is equipped with a winch capable of pulling 50 tonnes, allowing it to drag immobilised vehicles to a place of recovery or repair. Where recovery is needed over greater distances, its powerful 26 litre engine enables it to tow a fully laden Challenger 2. It is equipped with an Atlas crane capable of lifting a complete CR2 power pack.
