Frank Clinton Bailey started working as a photographer in Spokane around 1880. From at least 1888 until 1890, he worked as a photographer and crayon artist at the E.E. Bertrand photo studio. In 1890, he opened his own studio, but likely sold it after 1896. He opened another studio in 1903, the Bailey Studio, which remained in operation until about 1907, after which he entered the mining profession.
