Description
12 minute exposure of dwarf planet candidate (55637) 2002 UX25 with a 24" telescope. UX25 is about apparent magnitude 19.9 in this image taken at 2009-11-19 06:30 UT. Note the 3 stars just left of center sort of point towards UX25. There is also a magnitude 16.5 star just below UX25. UX25 is approaching the limiting magnitude of a 12 minute ccd photo with a 24" telescope. Also visible in this image is main belt asteroid 2336 Xinjiang (1975 WL1) at magnitude 16.
