Description	English: The light cruisers USS St. Louis (CL-49) and HMNZS Leander (75) firing during the Battle of Kolombangara, 13 July 1943. This is probably the battle's initial engagement, in which the Japanese light cruiser Jintsu was sunk by gunfire and torpedo hits and Leander was heavily damaged by a Japanese torpedo.
