Summary

Description

USS Eastern Light (ID-3538)

The United States Navy cargo ship at Rotterdam in the Netherlands. (The U.S. Navy History and Heritage Command and NavSource.org both misidentify the 5-3-1919 date on the photo as 3 May 1919, but Eastern Light was in out of commission in the United States by then; the 5-3-1919 date on the photo actually is for 5 March 1919, the date she arrived at Rotterdam while in commission.)
