File:Toronto Streetcar Grand Junction.jpg

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Original file(1,000 × 750 pixels, file size: 108 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

Summary

Description

A "grand junction" in Toronto, at the intersection of Spadina and Queen. A streetcar coming from any direction can turn in any other direction.

The special trackwork of a grand junction is complex, and must be custom-made to fit the geometry of the intersection. This can be done much more easily with modern computer-controlled machinery.
