Summary

Description
One of the four ENERCON E48 Wind Energy Converters (WECs) of the Tocco Da Casauria wind farm in Italy, near Pescara. This wind farm was the subject of a first page article on the New York Times (September 2010), and considered an example of perfect integration with the community and the environmental sensitivities of a small medieval village in Central Italy. Thanks to revenues from the wind farm, the village could buy and restore the ruins of the local castle. The wind farm has been built and is still managed by SOLO RINNOVABILI SRL, a company from Brescia (Italy).
