File:Stamp of Armenia - 1920 - Colnect 620407 - Mount Ararat.jpeg

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Original file(963 × 623 pixels, file size: 224 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

Description
It is known, that those stamps were designed and printed in Paris, but due to the occupation of Armenia the stamps were never delivered to Armenia and never used in Armenia, so no genuine uses are known and many forged and reprinted stamps are recorded. In the year 1924 those stamps were sold to stamp-collectors and dealers in Paris and it is known that the Armenian government in exile (Dashnak Party) did that, because they needed money to finance their activities. Imperforate stamps are test prints
