Summary

Description St. Peter's Church in the Great Valley, on NRHP since November 21, 1977. Located south of Phoenixville off Pennsylvania Route 423 (Church Road at St. Peter's Road) in East Whiteland Township, Chester County, PA. Building dated 1711 in iron letters, other parts 1852. Involved in aftermath of Battles of Brandywine and the Paoli Massacre, 1777. Graves of both British and Continental troops there. Still an Anglican (Episcopal) Church.
