Summary

Description
Rare on-deck image of passengers on RMS Carpathia during a 1914 overseas tour led by Father Blasius Zeiser, OSA. Carpathia rescued the Titanic disaster survivors in 1912. The Titanic-rescue-voyage's captain's last year of service was 1914. Carpathia was sunk in 1918 during World War One. The steamer passengers pictured include adults, children, and an infant who sit in deck chairs or stand. One empty deck chair is visible. In the distance above the group is a densely-packed crowd on a higher-up deck or perhaps touring the wing bridge.
