File:Providence Park MAX station eastbound platform with train arriving, 2015.jpg

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Original file(2,848 × 1,883 pixels, file size: 1.25 MB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

Summary

Description The eastbound platform (on SW Yamhill Street) of TriMet's Providence Park MAX station, viewed from the east, from 17th Avenue. A train led by car 223 (coupled to a Type 1 car) is arriving. The station opened in 1997 as Civic Stadium station and has carried two other names in the meantime, during periods when the stadium after which it is named had a different name (PGE Park, then Jeld-Wen Field). In the lefthand background is the one of the buildings comprising the longtime printing plant of The Oregonian, which at the time of the photo (August 2, 2015) had either recently closed permanently, or was in the process of closing permanently, the paper's owners having outsourced their printing.
