Description
Size comparison of two specimens of the Middle Jurassic British pliosaurid plesiosaur Peloneustes philarchus, the smaller is NHMUK R3318, a nearly complete specimen mounted in the Natural History Museum in London, the larger is based on the mounted skeleton in the Institut für Geowissenschaften, University of Tübingen. The diver silhoutte is from File:Scuba33.jpg, which is by NOAA and in the public domain.
