US Air Force description: Captains T. O. Hanford (left), Scott F. O`Grady (center), and Bob Wright (right) speak at a press conference. Captain O`Grady`s F-16 Fighting Falcon was shot down over Bosnia on June 2, 1995, by Serbian forces. This occured while he was flying in support of Operation Deny Flight. Captain Hanford made the initial radio contact with O`Grady before his rescue and Wright was O`Grady`s lead man the day he was shot down. US Department of Defense description: US Air Force Captains T. O. Hanford (left), Scott F. O'Grady (center), and Bob Wright (right) speak at a press conference. Capt. O'Grady's F-16 Fighting Falcon was shot down over Bosnia on June 2, 1995, while he was flying in support of Operation Deny Flight. After 6 days of evasion, he was rescued by US Marines from the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, deployed from the USS KEARSAGE (LHD-3). Capt. Hanford made the initial radio contact with Capt. O'Grady before his rescue and Capt. Wright was Capt. O'Grady's lead man the day he was shot down.
