This is a photo of listed building number 1346387.

Summary

Description
Norwood House, Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.

Built around 1760 for Jonathan Midgley: attorney, alderman and three times Mayor of Beverley. East Riding County Council bought it in 1907 and opened it a year later as Beverley High School for Girls. This use continued until 2000, and in 2002 a campaign was launched to raise £2m to save the Grade 1 listed building. It faces an uncertain future as it has rapidly deteriorated.
