Summary

Description

Dancing in full swing!!

BAND FUNDRAISING CEILIDH: despite competition from another wee musical event (Sir Rod Stewart's concert at Caledonian Stadium!) just across the Beauly Firth, the Northern Constabulary Community Pipe Band's Fundraising Ceilidh was a roaring success and a superb evening of conviviality and entertainment (plus a great buffet!!).

Great music from the Colin Donaldson Ceilidh Band … and of course from our own pipers and drummers - 12 pipers and 6 drummers really had the place rocking.

I've heard the Band play the "STB" (Scotland The Brave / Wings / Flett from Flotta / 51st Highland Division) set literally HUNDREDS of times over the years - but tonight's performance was truly SOMETHING SPECIAL.

Highland Cathedral and Dark Island - by special request of Band Secretary for family members who had travelled from England to attend the ceilidh - were also particularly appreciated.

Sincere thanks to all who came along, or otherwise supported this event - and especially to the Band members and their families who did all the work to organise the event. Truly MORE THAN JUST A BAND!

When are we having another one like tonight???
