Summary

Description
The Michigan Wolverines visit the Minnesota Golden Gophers at the Metrodome; the teams are rivals for the Little Brown Jug. This game is actually very well known in college football as one of the greatest comebacks in the sports history. Trailing 28-7 in the 4th quarter, the Wolverines managed to come from behind and win 38-35. The game received national coverage because it had been moved to a Friday in order to accommodate the Minnesota Twins playoff game on Saturday (the traditional day for college football games); as a result, it was the only major game on ESPN on Oct. 10, 2003. Adding to the hype, it was a rare occasion where an undefeated Minnesota was ranked higher than Michigan going into the game; Minnesota had not defeated Michigan since 1986.
For more info, just read the ESPN College Football Encyclopedia (2005) and turn to what they consider greatest comeback in Michigan history (a team with over 100 years of history). You can also read a summary of this legendary game here: [1]
