SELFRIDGE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Mich.- Brig. Gen. John D. Slocum, commanding officer, 127th Wing, accepts an autographed baseball bat on behalf of the Wing from Detroit Tigers pitcher Matthew Boyd during a visit to Selfridge Air National Guard Base on Jan. 25, 2019. The Tigers were making their annual winter swing around the Detroit region and paid a call on military personnel at Selfridge. The Tigers personnel were briefed on some of the mission capabilities of the personnel at Selfridge, including a walk around of an A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft at the base.
