Summary

Description

NASA's "Mars Ecopoiesis Test Bed" would test in Mars some canisters with extremophilic photosynthetic algae and Cyanobacteria for the production of oxygen on Martian soil. If the experiment works on Mars, large scale and sealed biodomes would be built on Mars to produce and bottle enough oxygen for astronauts' life-support systems.
