Description
This is a photograph of an M102 Howitzer belonging to Battery A, 1st Battalion, 206th Field Artillery, 39th Brigade Combat Team, in position at Fire Base Paris, Camp Taji, Iraq 29 May 2004. In the background is a M109A6 Paladin 155mm Howitzer belonging to 2nd Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. These guns provided counter battery fire and close fire support for the 39th Brigade Combat Team and the 1st Cavalry Division during OIF II. A M109A6 Paladin Howitzer belonging to 2-82 FA, 1CD can be seen in the background.
