Summary

Description
Liverpool Lime Street Station in Steam days.
View inward towards buffer-stops in 1959. The wires are up for the electrification, but electric services (from Crewe) did not commence for nearly another three years. Instead, we see a dirty 'Jubilee' 4-6-0, No. 45670 'Howard of Effingham' waiting to leave on the 10.05 express to Birmingham; the bunker-first Stanier 4MT 2-6-4T in the centre will have worked a local from Wigan via St Helens.
