Leopold David was an American lawyer, physician and politician. David moved to Alaska during the early 20th century and lived in various Gold Rush-era settlements before settling in Anchorage. During this time, he served as a U.S. Commissioner, but is best known for serving as the first mayor of Anchorage following that community's incorporation in 1920.
