Samples of long i in the Lectionary of Luxeuil, dated to the late 7th or early 8th century, in the a-c Merovingian script, taken from the folios 80v (top) and 81r (bottom). They were derived from an online version of the Lectionary of Luxeuil, on the website of the National Library of France (Bibliothèque Nationale de France), stated in the site to be in the public domain, accessed 2021-03-24. Marking the long i in bold, the top line reads: et inponunt in umeros hominum. The bottom reads: in synagogis · et salutationis in foro.
