Looking south from overlook about 5.2 straight-line miles south of Kernville along Sierra Way west of Stine Point. Body of water is Lake Isabella. Valley at distant edge of the water is the location of Mountain Mesa (foreground) and Squirrel Mountain Valley (distant). McCray Road NAD83 is visible on close inspection. State Route 178 cannot be clearly seen but runs horizontally across the photo on the far side of the water. Highest peak visible in right one third of picture is probably Inspiration Point NAD27. Terrain projecting into lake at lower right is believed to be Gautche Point. Image includes portions of Squirrel Mountain Valley.
