From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Original file(1,024 × 768 pixels, file size: 165 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

Description
Photo by Rolinator, taken August 2006. Image is of feathery dendritic olivine crystals, serpentinised to chlorite-actinolite, from a komatiitic flow within the Windgiemooltha Komatiite, Widgiemooltha Dome, Western Australia. The sample is from drill hole WDD18, 137m approxmately downhole at the top of a thin komatiite lava flow. This is an excellent example of preservation of volcanological texture and is extremely rare. This image may be used for any purpose. Rolinator 03:26, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
